SUBMIT NOW: The deadline for the Kyoko Selden Memorial Translation Prize is August 1, 2018. The prize is awarded for unpublished shorter translations of up to 20,000 words, or for unpublished excerpts of up to 20,000 words of a longer work. 2017 prize winners were Nina Cornyetz for "Tale of the Enchanted Sword" (妖剣記聞, by Izumi Kyōka 1920) and Erin Brightwell "The Torrent" (奔流, by Taiwanese writer Wang Chang-xiong, 王昶雄, also known by his Japanese name, Ō Chōyū, 1943).
