Shambhala Publications has just released several new books and new editions
that are relevant to this list.

1. The first is a translation of Butön's History of Buddhism in India and
Its Spread to Tibet: A Treasury of Priceless Scripture by Butön  Rinchen
Drup and translated by Ngawang Zangpo and Lisa Stein under the auspices of
the Tsadra Foundation.  This is the first published translation since
Obermiller's 1932 edition.  It is available now from Shambhala

worldwide from bookstores on August 20th.

2. The second is the second and final volume of Jigme Lingpa's Treasury of
Precious Qualities (yon tan mdzod) with a commentary by Kangyur Rinpoche.
 It is available now from our website (http://bit.ly/15uoNia) and will be
available worldwide in bookstores on August 20th.  It covers the tantra and
dzogchen sections of this text which were not included in the first volume (
http://bit.ly/15uoJyZ).  The translation is by the Padmakara Translation
Group.

3. The third is the second of the "Two Distinguishing" Maitreya texts,
Distinguishing Phenomena from Their Intrinsic Nature
(Dharmadharmatavibhanga) translated by the Dharmachakra Translation
Committee with a commentary by Mipham Rinpoche and annotations by Khenpo
Shenga.  This is available now from our website at
http://bit.ly/11HwFi7and will be available worldwide August 20th.
This is a companion volume to
their previous Middle Beyond Extremes (Madhyāntavibhāga) which now has a
new cover to match as we are doing a series of these Maitreya texts, and

4. A new paperback version of Nagarjuna's Letter to a Friend, with a
commentary by Kyabje Kangyur Rinpoche and translated by the Padmakara
Translation Group available now at  http://bit.ly/11twww9 and worldwide on
September 10th.  It has multiple corrections from the hardcover version.

5. Also now in paperback is Heidi Köppl's Establishing Appearances as
Divine, an analysis and translation of Rongzom Chöki Zangmo's (Rangzom
Mahapandita) classic work and one of the few English translations of this
monumental figure in the articulation of Nyingma philosophy and practice.
 José Ignacio Cabezón  writes, "The long introduction provides us with one
of the most detailed comparative treatments of the Nyingma view (tawa) that
I know of, elucidating Rongzom's position in relation to other Nyingma
thinkers. The notes to the translation clarify even the most difficult
