Korea Foundation holds special lecture in Ateneo
The Korea Foundation will hold a special lecture on Aug 1 at the Escaler Hall, Ateneo de Manila University with speaker Prof. Ihn-Hwi Park of the Ewha Womans University.
Titled “The Security Condition of Korea and East Asia International Relations,” the lecture will be given by Prof. Ihn-Hwi Park who is an Associate Professor in the Division of International Studies of Ewha Womans University. Dr. Hyun-seok Yu, President of the Korea Foundation will also be present in the lecture.
The Korea Foundation Lecture Series are public lectures by Korean professors that are given to raise awareness and understanding about Korea and Korean Studies. The speakers share their expertise with local experts and students from all over the world.
The lecture series is part of the Korea Festival in ASEAN which started May 16 until August 23, 2013. The festival is a comprehensive cukltural program of diverse activities that seeks to introduce the culture and arts of Korea to the people of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). It includes events such as live performances, exhibitions, film screenings, special forums, lecture series to discuss Korea-ASEAN relations.
