Bleuler, Jung, and the Creation of the Schizophrenias

In Bleuler, Jung, and the Creation of the Schizophrenias, Michael Escamilla (neuroscientist, psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, and The Jung Center's 1st McMillan Institute Scholar) elucidates the intellectual work of the pioneering psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler and his student, C. G. Jung, during the first twelve years of the Twentieth Century.  Confronted with the task of helping persons suffering from disabling psychotic experiences, Bleuler and Jung utilized scientific research and a new conceptualization of human psychology to provide a way of understanding their patients, leading to the creation of an entirely new disease concept: "the schizophrenias."

Bleuler, Jung, and the Creation of the Schizophrenias is available for purchase in both our online store, and in the bookstore itself.  Please contact Elissa Davis (information below) with any questions, or to reserve your copy today!

TIME CHANGE:

Constructing a Healthy Psycho/Spiritual Worldview for the 21st Century

As part of our Fall 2016 programming, we are teaming up with The Hines Center for Spirituality and Prayer to offer a two-day lecture/workshop with the esteemed J. Pittman McGehee.  Registration for the lecture portion of this event will be handled by The Jung Center, which is where that lecture will be held.  Registration for the workshop portion, however, will be handled by The Hines Center (NOT The Jung  Center), and will take place ON THEIR CAMPUS!  (See their website for details and registration.)

Additionally, please note that the time of the workshop has changed.  While our program guide lists the workshop as lasting from 10am - 1pm, the rescheduled workshop will take place from 3pm - 6pm on Saturday, September 17.
