	Minister of Foreign Affairs Attends Video  Conference on COVID-19 Hosted  by “Alliance for Multilateralism” Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha attended the video conference on  COVID-19 hosted by the “Alliance for Multilateralism” on June 26 and discussed  “strengthening the multilateral health architecture and fight against  infodemics.” Minister Kang mentioned that there is a greater need for joint  efforts of the international community as well as for the alliance for   multilateralism in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and that the  ROK government will contribute actively to enhancing the global health  governance through improved implementation of the International  Health Regulations (IHR). Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Attends Suda n Partnership Conference Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Taeho attended  the Sudan Partnership Conference, held in the form of a  video conference on June 25 and said that the government  of the Republic of Korea supports the efforts of the  Transitional Government of Sudan towards  democratization and economic reforms, and  will continue to support Sudan’s development. Korea-Central Asia Business Council Launched The “Korea-Central Asia Business Council” which   Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha and  her counterparts of five Central Asian countries  agreed to establish at the 12th Korea-Central  Asia Cooperation Forum was launched on June  29. The Council is the first multilateral consultative  mechanism where business organizations of the  Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries participate. Video Conference between Deputy Foreign Minister  for Economic Affairs and Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Mr. Lee Seong-ho, Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs  of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had a video conference   with Mr. Andrei Dapkiunas, Deputy Minister of Foreign  Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, on June 26. The two  sides discussed response to COVID-19 and ways to  step up cooperation in the frame of the “New Northern Policy.” ROK-led “UN Group of Friends of Solidarity for   Global Health Security” Discusses Delivering Joint  Remarks at UN Security Council and Activity Plan for 2020 The “Group of Friends of Solidarity for Global Health Security” at  the UN, which was launched on May 12 at the initiative of the  Republic of Korea in order for the UN to respond to health  security issues held video conferences of the Group back to  back on June 25.
