Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets with Deputy   Prime-Minister of Uzbekistan Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha met with Mr. Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime-Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Affairs and  Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan,  on July 6, and exchanged views on collaboration on COVID-19  response and ways to increase substantive cooperation. Minister Kang  expressed satisfaction over the continuing close cooperation between  the two countries even amid the COVID-19 situation through  high-level exchanges, including a telephone conversation  between the Presidents and a video conference between  the deputy prime ministers for economic affairs. Phone Conversation between Foreign Ministers  of ROK and Qatar on July 8 Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha spoke  over the phone with Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani, 8 and  discussed cooperation on response to COVID-19  and economic cooperation between the Republic of  Korea and the State of Qatar, including the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG). ROK-U.S. High-level Consultations to Take Place   during Visit to ROK by U.S. Deputy Secretary  of State and Special Representative for North Korea Mr. Stephen Biegun, Deputy Secretary of State and Special  Representative for North Korea of the United States,  will visit the Republic of Korea on July 7-9. Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha will meet with  Deputy Secretary Biegun at the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs on July 8. ROK-New Zealand Deputy Foreign  Ministerial Video Conference Takes Place Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs Kim Gunn had a video conference  with Deputy Secretary for the Americas and  Asia Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs   Trade of New Zealand Mark Sinclair on July 2.  The two sides shared the COVID-19 situations  and response efforts in their countries, and  discussed prospects and ways for the two   countries to work together. ROK and Swedish Deputy Foreign Ministers  Hold Video Conference Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs Kim Gunn had a video conference  with Director-General for Political Affairs of the  Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of  Sweden Elinor Hammarskjöld on July 8.  The two sides shared the COVID-19  situations and response efforts and commended  the close exchange of information and  experience sharing between the two countries.
