NYC Special Events with Lama Kunga Rinpoche and Khenpo Kunga Dondup Water Purification Ceremony & Kago*Khenpo Kunga Dondup DATE: Monday, October 21 TIME: 7 pm to 8:30 pm LOCATION: 219 W 19th Street (between 7th & 8th Avenues), NYC Suggested donation: $50 Khenpo Kunga Dondup, originally from the Himalayan kingdom of Mustang and director of Pema Ts’al Sakya Monastic Institute in Pokhara, Nepal will perform the Kago and Water Purification. These ceremonies and accompanying meditations and liturgies are of the same order of healing and motivation as the Healing Cho. The effect of clarity and openness has been described by those who have done both ceremonies. *Kago with Water Purification: Kago removes hindrances or obstacles to the participant's life and spiritual practice. Performed by a qualified Lama, this ancient Vajrakilaya ritual is effective for clearing obstacles. Khenpo Kunga Dondup has specialized in this powerful obstacle allaying practice and completed the multimillion mantra retreats. He has studied the dances, mandalas, and esoteric symbolism of the Vajrakilaya Tantra in Tibet, Mustang and with His Holiness the Sakya Trizin. While performing this puja for us, the lineage prayer of all great masters starting from Guru Rinpoche are recited before this ritual specific to removing one's obstructions are performed. The water purification occurs at the completion of the ceremony and does not require any special dress. Seating will be on the floor, and chairs are available for those who need them.
