I write to inform you that our PhD Programme has recently been revised,
in terms of both curriculum and structure.
We continue to focus on Buddhist texts in their original languages;
candidates may choose either a Pāli or a Sanskrit track. However, we now
also have a non-taught track.

Let me add that our Programme welcomes visiting scholars/students, even
for short periods. In particular, anyone interested in improving one’s
skills in Pāli and/or Sanskrit, or anyone wishing to read a specific

we will try to
organize reading sessions tailored to the specific needs and research
interests of our visitors.
