In a New York Times
op-ed, Asia Society Policy Institute President Kevin Rudd argues
that the United States, China, and India must work together to set the
stage for a global deal at the United Nations climate change summit in
Paris this December. He proposes a three-part approach: increased
collaboration between the U.S. and China; trilateral cooperation
between the U.S., China, and India; and an international scheme for
verifying that countries fulfill their pledges to cut carbon emissions.

Last
week marked the opening of Inspired by Nam
June Paik: Becoming Robot, an exhibition featuring the
work of New York City elementary public school students, who had the
opportunity to view their own work on the walls of the Asia Society
Museum through a partnership with the organization Studio in a
School. Among those in attendance at the opening was Agnes Gund,
President Emerita of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and founder and
chair of Studio in a School.

Greg Constantine is an American photographer who was
part of the International
Herald Tribune team that won Asia Society’s Osborn Elliott
Prize for Excellence in Journalism on Asia in 2009. Based in Southeast
Asia since 2005, Constantine has documented the struggles of stateless
minority groups. He discussed his experiences in an interview with Asia Blog on the
occasion of a New York exhibition featuring his photographs of the
Rohingya people.
