Michael Gillan pays
tribute to Peter Reeves, who died in February. Professor Reeves played a
crucial role in the emergence of South Asian Studies in Australia and
Singapore. His death followed that of another eminent Asia scholar, Professor
Anthony Low, who also died in February.
