The School of History, Philosophy, and Religion at Oregon State University
invites applications from specialists in Buddhist Studies (Tibetan Buddhism and
Buddhist Philosophical Traditions preferred but other areas considered) for a
limited-term appointment of nine months at the Visiting Assistant Professor
level, effective September 16, 2015. Teaching responsibilities are 3 courses
per quarter. We seek candidates qualified to teach introductory and upper-level
courses in Buddhist Studies and Religious Studies. Candidates should have the
ability to teach an introductory course on world religions. The successful
candidate will demonstrate competence in Religious Studies theory and methods,
have a PhD in hand, provide evidence of success in teaching at the college
level, and possess the skill and enthusiasm required for teaching with
excellence in Buddhist Studies and Religious Studies. Please submit your
