SoulCollage®

A Creative Process for Self-Exploration

Join us for an in-depth exploration of SoulCollage®, a process of self-discovery that engages the imagination and intuition to create collaged cards that represent the many aspects of Self. Images chosen are based on participants’ intuitive attraction to them and their personal meaning. This integrative process touches on deeply personal aspects of our ancestral, cultural, communal, spiritual, and psychological histories. Through instruction, collage-making, group processing, and journaling, students will learn to create and then use their cards for self-exploration. Collage is a very accessible art medium and no previous SoulCollage® or artistic experience is necessary. High quality collage materials will be provided by the presenter.

Soul and the Phenomenology of the Self

What is the meaning of soul? Jung
suggested that we do not evolve in a linear way; rather, we circumambulate, or walk around, the (S)elf. Jung’s concept of the
Self is essential to understanding his approach to human development, which he termed individuation. Jung referred to t
he Self paradoxically as “at the center and circumference of the psyche” and “both [the] essence and totality of the individual
.” In this class, we explore the structure and dynamics of the psyche, the relation
between the ego and the Self, and the appearance of the Self as the imago Dei, or image of God.

Soul and the Phenomenology of the Self
is available for purchase online
(as an .mp3 download or deliverable compact discs),

Healing Circles at
The Jung Center

As the volume increases in our local and national conversation, comprehension
and true dialogue seem in danger of vanishing entirely.  Now more than ever we need to practice the necessary
 – and difficult – art
of listening.  Layers of thought, emotion, memory and image are always present
in our encounters with others.  We will
explore how to attend to these layers and how to make possible more direct and meaningful connections.  The intention is to enhance our capacity to listen deeply.
  We will have
several topics and questions to choose
from and will use a Healing Circle
(Peer Spirit) process which will be explained at the beginning of each session.

Healing Circles are held from 6 - 7:30pm,

on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the
month, at The Jung Center.

Click here for more information, or email Becky Dodds if you are interested in attending.
