Al Gore:
Climate Change Is a 'Global Emergency'
Perhaps
no American has done more to warn about the dangers of climate change
than Al Gore,
the Nobel Peace laureate, Academy Award winner, and former vice
president of the United States. On Tuesday, Gore spoke with UC
Berkeley economist Laura
Tyson as part of the COAL +
ICE climate change festival in San Francisco and
reiterated the urgency of dealing with the world's carbon crisis.
"Decarbonization must become the central organizing principle of
human civilization," he said.
