Dear Colleagues,Since just before Christmas, the web host for the Digital Dictionary of Buddhism (linode.com) has been suffering from a heavy and sustained DDOS attack, rendering many of its servers nonfunctional on an intermittent basis. The DDB and CJKV-E dictionaries have been offline sporadically because of this.
We are hoping that Linode can weather this storm, but to ensure continued operation during the interim, Michael Beddow has set up a backup mirror at the url <http://ddb.lexcoll.net>. This site mirrors almost all of the functionality of www.buddhism-dict.net, except for the feedback mechanism. Please do continue to use the main site for the dictionaries, but if you get blank pages, resort to our mirror backup.
If you are working at a university that has a subscription to the DDB, you might want to pass this notice on to your electronic resources librarians so that they can be aware of the situation.
