The initial euphoria about
China's massive infrastructure project, the Belt and Road Initiative, seems
to have already evaporated in its immediate neighbourhood. Several Asian
countries now want to negotiate better conditions for joint projects.
Many towns and villages in
the UK haven’t been left behind. They have been held back. That's why the UK
Labour Party wants to return voice and choice to local communities –
with a citizen-led People’s Convention.
