 Nikkei Asian Review
Subject: Hong Kong strife

Pick of this week's Opinion

May 23, 2020

Police report on Hong Kong

protests is a shameful

whitewash

One of the Hong Kong protesters' five demands is an independent
inquiry into what they say was police violence; well, the official
inquiry is out and it said: what violence? Lawyer
Jason Y. Ng wrote for NAR on why he thought that
was an outrage.
Given Thursday night's news about China wanting
to enforce a new security law in Hong Kong, I would
also recommend last week's piece on Hong Kong's new
"Basic Law": whatever China says, goes.
