	ROK-UK Foreign Ministers’ Telephone Conversation Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha had a telephone conversation with  Mr. Dominic Rennie Raab, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth  Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on  April 6 at the latter’s request and exchanged views on the spread of COVID-19  and ways to respond to it. Minister Kang stressed that the two countries, while making  all-out efforts to control COVID-19, need to maintain direct flights and continue relevant  cooperation in order to ensure smooth progress of essential people-to-people exchanges. Telephone Conversation between Foreign Ministers of ROK a nd Finland Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha had a telephone  conversation with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic  of Finland Pekka Haavisto on April 8 at the latter’s request   and discussed ways of cooperation in responding to COVID-19  including sharing relevant experiences. Phone Conversation between Foreign Ministers of ROK and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha spoke over the phone  with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of  Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates  (UAE), on April 7 at the latter’s request, and exchanged views on  the two countries’ cooperation to cope with the spread of COVID-19. Five MIKTA Countries Adopt Foreign Ministers’ Joint  Statement on COVID-19 Pandemic and Global Health The Foreign Ministers of the five MIKTA countries -- the Republic  of Korea, the United Mexican States, the Republic of Indonesia, the  Republic of Turkey, and the Commonwealth of Australia -- announced  the Joint Statement on the COVID-19 Pandemic and Global  Health on April 9. 3rd Teleconference on COVID-19 Response between Vice  Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho and his Counterparts Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Sei-young had the  3r  multilateral teleconference with his counterparts of countries in  the region on April 3. The teleconference among the  vice foreign  ministers of 7 countries in the region has taken  place on a weekly  basis following the first meeting on March 20.
