Nobel laureate does not

see hot climate killing

coronavirus

TOKYO -- The new coronavirus
 looks less seasonal than
 influenza, and heat will
not be the magic sword that
will bring an end to th
e pandemic, Nobel laureate
Satoshi Omura said in a Nikkei interview.

The Japanese microbiologist
added that the high mortality
rate for COVID-19 among the
poor may be related to the lack of access to health care.
