	Minister of Foreign Affairs Attends   Conference of Female Foreign Ministers Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha had a video conference on the theme  of “COVID19 and Women: Avenues for Action” with female foreign ministers of  countries on April 16, and discussed gender equality and the role of women  in responding to COVID-19. Minister Kang expressed concern over the social  and economic difficulties that women around the world are experiencing  due to COVID-19. She stressed the need for the international community’s  joint efforts to deal with them, and explained the ROK’s related efforts. Foreign Minister Kang Participates in Group Call   of Ministerial Coordination Group on COVID-19 Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha had  a multilateral teleconference with foreign ministers  of the Ministerial Coordination Group on COVID-19 on April 17,  as a result of which the foreign ministers adopted the  “Declaration of the Ministerial Coordination Group  on COVID-19 on maintaining essential global links.” Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Telephone   Conversation with EU High Representative for  Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on COVID-19 response Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha spoke  over the phone with High Representative of the  European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy  Josep Borrell on April 16, at the latter’s request, and  discussed their responses to COVID-19 and ways of  cooperation, as well as bilateral issues between the  Republic of Korea and the EU. Telephone Conversation between Foreign Minister and UN  High Commissioner for Refugees Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha had a telephone  conversation with United Nations High Commissioner  for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi on the afternoon of  April 20 at the latter’s request and discussed the progress in  response to COVID-19 and ways to promote cooperation  between the Republic of Korea and the UNHCR. Video Conference between ROK and Chinese  Vice Foreign Ministers Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Sei-young had a video  with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s  Republic of China Le Yucheng on April 17, and  discussed matters of mutual interest, including  cooperation in responding to COVID-19, the  Republic of Korea-China relations, and issues on the  Korean Peninsula.
