HH Dalai Lama to Visit and Bless the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s Visit to Tibetan Colony, Mundgod—December 2012

The Starkey Hearing Foundation (http://www.starkeyhearingfoundation.org/) is distributing free hearing aids to the Tibetans in India, and the pilot project has been conducted simultaneously in Dharamsala and Tibetan Colony, Mundgod in the month of May 2012. About 200 people in Dharamsala and 205 people in Mundgod received free hearing aids from Starkey Foundation this year.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation is coming to Tibetan Colony, Mundgod again in the month of Dec. 2012 with 67 new cases and another 50 people whose hearing aids need adjustments.
His Holiness Dalai Lama will also bless the event and have a brief visit with the Foundation members, etc. The date is still be organized for sometime in December 2012.
The hearing aids that the Starkey Foundation has offered the Tibetan community has opened up new life for them. Lama Guru has commented that many people could not hear from both ears—but when they are fitted with new hearing aid, he has seen the sparkle of joy and radiance in their face as they again started hearing voices.
