The Power of Patience
“There is no fortitude like patience,” wrote the Indian master Shantideva.
No one explains more beautifully and imperatively the Lord Buddha
Shakyamuni’s teachings on the treasured virtue of patience than Shantideva
in his great work, A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life. Drawing on
Shantideva’s guide, the Venerable Khenpo Pema Wangdak will explain
why patience is not only an indispensable part of spiritual development,
but the foundation of good health, peace of mind, and success in all our
undertakings.
The value of patience will be presented as a force indispensably consistent
with the survival and perpetuation of peace and genuine happiness.
Patience is the basis of successful relationships with friends and foes alike.
Like armor and a shield, it can protect us from inner and outer harm, and
 assure victory over all adversaries.
Come learn about these teachings on patience, and discover through
your own experiments and practice, the power of patience.
This workshop includes discussion, meditation on the subject of patience,
and a Q&A session.
