FELLOWSHIPS> Head Start for BDK Fellowships with New BDK English Site

As noted by A. Charles Mueller within the last year as to
2016 grants, in FELLOWSHIPS> BDK Fellowships for 2016, Bukkyō
Dendō Kyōkai offers multiple fellowships for scholars to study in
Japan for a year as part of completion of an advanced degree in Buddhist
Studies. If you know of potential candidates, please direct them to the
revamped English version of the BDK website, only recently launched. The
revamped website provides much useful information as to the timeline and more, in
English. Timing. The site currently highlights the 2016 application process begun in 2015, but as applications for the 2017 grants will be opened in the next three months, potential candidates unfamiliar with the program may want to start their considerations now. Moreover the site will be updated for the 2017 fellowships relatively soon. The robust English site is expected to be of great use in better publicizing these opportunities.
