Throughout the Philippines’ history, its hundreds of islands have been home to a multitude of ethnolinguistic groups producing diverse musical chants. But over the past six centuries, much of these traditional soundscapes have faded away amid colonization and globalization. At 8 p.m. New York time on October 30, the ensemble will perform their soundscapes for a live online broadcast. Tickets for the performance at Asia Society in New York are also still available.
