Japan Update

Flood tears through Japan's supply chain

TOKYO -- The most damaging
 rainfall in three decades has
brought businesses and transport
to a halt in western Japan,
prompting Prime Minister
Shinzo Abe to cancel overseas
 travel and focus on starting
what looks to be an arduous
 recovery.
The storms flooded stores and
factories, disrupted supply chains,
cut off water and power, and kept workers at home.
