Mitsubishi jet makes

airshow debut ahead of

dogfight with giants

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. -- The Mitsubishi Regional Jet made
its maiden appearance at the Farnborough International
Airshow on Monday.

The unveiling is meant to
showcase how development
is going smoothly after repeated
 delays.

Japan's first modern passenger
jet will now go after a slice of a
highly contested market in which Boeing and Airbus are also entering.
