Upcoming Events

IBS on the Road


Members of the IBS faculty will be participating in several events over the spring semester outside of Berkeley, including:
  • Rev. Dr. David Matsumoto will be participating in the Winter Pacific Seminar in Los Angeles on February 9
  • Dr. Scott Mitchell will be presenting at the IBS Symposium during the BCA National Council Meeting in Phoenix, AZ on Thursday March 7
  • Rev. Dr. Daijaku Kinst will be presenting at a conference on Buddhist chaplaincy at Columbia University in New York in May

  • Rev. Dr. Seigen Yamaoka will the be guest speaker for the Berkeley Buddhist Temple's Nirvana Day service on Sunday February 17.
  • UC Berkeley's Institute for East Asian Studies is hosting Duncan Ryuken Williams for a discussion on his new book, American Sutra: Buddhism and the Incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII, on Monday February 25 at 4 o'clock. More information.
  • The 12th Annual TechnoBuddha conference will be held at the JSC from March 22-24. Visit the website for registration information.
  • The Sati Center will host its annual half-day information session on Buddhist Chaplaincy on Saturday May 11. More information.
