International criticism mounts after protester is shot in Hong Kong

Violence in Hong Kong escalated dramatically as a demonstrator was shot and critically injured by police with a live round on Oct. 1, the same day that Beijing marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The photo is from a video on the Facebook page of HKUSU Campus TV, which said it was of the incident.
