NEC wins $190m deal

to supply satellite to

Vietnam

TOKYO -- NEC has won a deal
worth $190 million to supply a
 radar satellite to Vietnam,
which will make it the first
Japanese company to export an observation satellite.

The deal, which is part of a
larger investment by
Hanoi in space development,
also highlights the advantage traditional players have over
 startups in these times
of economic crises.
